It is absolutely clear that the ski world cup elite cannot train on the ski pistes of tourists and locals. Superstars must however also use the lift. So don't be surprised, if riding alongside you on the drag lift is a real international star of the ski race scene! Here, on the FIS training course on the Hinterreit lift between Saalfelden and Maria Alm, you can find the ideal conditions for training and testing, and all this is done in front of the impressive backdrop of the Hochkönig and Steinernes Meer. The training course built here, has everything the athletes can expect on the various World Cup slopes. Two steep slopes, two hill tops and a flat section allows trainers to simulate all possible key areas of skiing on a length of 1.1km and width of 70 metres. The snow-making system also guarantees the best conditions until spring. Alongside the regular front runners of the Austrian women's and men's national team teams from Switzerland, America, Norway, Germany and many other ski nations have discovered the Hinterreit lift as an ideal training centre for racing. To our joy, the FIS training course has developed more and more into the training Mecca of the Ski World Cup.
